Unbundled Legal Services

You may not qualify for Legal Aid yet feel as though you cannot afford the ongoing cost of a lawyer. In those circumstances, we recommend that you get some specific legal advice relevant to your personal situation. This is where ‘unbundled’ legal services come in handy. It enables the provision of legal assistance throughout your matter.

There are some some examples below of how you may engage with The FLP for unbundled legal services. You will see that it enables you to try to manage your Family Law matter while targeting our professional legal support at various times. It enables you to have better control of your legal budget and strategically use our services when required. • a one off Strategy Session where we spend 90 minutes with you giving specific advice and guidance in your matter. Every person’s separation and family is unique so this enables us to delve into your particular circumstances and your goals. Book yours here.
• one off advice session where we peruse some of your court documents and a document that you have drafted (such as an Affidavit)
• one off advice session before or after a Family Dispute Resolution or mediation.
• one off advice session after you have received a proposal for parenting or property settlement to ascertain if it is a fair proposal.
• instructing us to write a letter or proposal to your ex partner as you feel you have hit a bit of a brick trying to negotiate yourself.
• You have received an offer of property settlement and would like some legal advice to ensure it is fair.
• instructing us to draft Court documents in circumstances where you appear as a self represented litigant.
• instructing us to prepare a Parenting Plan or Consent Minutes of Order in circumstances where you have been able to successfully navigate and reach an agreement yourself.
